Today so far.....Yeeesh!

I'm not sure wether I have a cold, or just super severe allergies right now, but I feel terrible. Got the congestion, both nasal and chest...and I sound like a pack a day smoker...which isn't the reason I sound like one cuz I don't smoke!!!!!! (Well not anymore anyway. ;p )
Regardless of the fact that I feel like garbage, I still have to go to work. :( *sigh* I'm just hoping at this point that I can survive the day.
It shouldn't be all that busy...I don't think there is a sale going on today...but I guess it could still get busy.
I've been working on some oil pastel pictures and also some sketches as well..Hopefully I will have some new works to share with everyone! LOL!

Well, I wonder how today will go...
I know I will get to work with a couple of cool peeps today, so that's a positive outlook.
Trying to stay positive these days.
Also trying to be a bit more competitive...but it's gonna take some getting used to.
Just gotta keep those inner ninjas and stuff in check...
I'm sure the retail store I work for wouldn't appreciate so much bloodshed over trivial....yet increasingly annoying....goings on.

Soooooo......
I just realized that lots of things have changed since I started this blog.
One of those things is...
I'm not headed into a new job, or going to school just yet.
I'm kinda still working on choosing a major/career path. 
Waiting to be hired on at a certain company right now also. 
Now is the time to work as much as I can,
and come up with as much money as I can in whatever way I can.
Drowning in debt is not a good thing.
I have ideas...I just need support! :)
I'm starving! o.O
No...literally! And my fish is done...so I'ma go eat now

Today's featured artist! 2NE1! Yeah!

Ok! So this stunning quartet is known as 2NE1. They are a very popular group in Korea, and they are working their way into the American market as well. Recently, Will I Am of the Black Eyed Peas took an interest in them after seeing one of their music videos, and they have begun the process of creating songs in English featuring Will I Am! (I am soooooo excited about this XD!!!!) They come from the same entertainment company as BIGBANG, which is YG Entertainment. They have been called the "girl version" of BIGBANG before, and in some ways they are.

Their style ranges, but remains on the edgy side. One of the members is considered the "Less attractive"one. (Which is outrageous! .\/. Minzy is very cute! And so is Daesung! Stop saying these things you meanies!)

They have that awesome edgy sound that BIGBANG has also!

They are simply awesome!

They have a few great songs already out there. A newer one called "Lonely" has been running through my head. Their first album had a few big hits. "Fire", "I don't care", and "Pretty boy". Their break out song was Lollipop, which they sang with BIGBANG.

Since they debuted, they have done a lot. I'm continually impressed with them!

So get to know them! They will be worth it!

This lovely lady is the leader of the group. She is called C.L. but her name is Lee, Chae Rin.

This little cutie is Dara, which is short for Sandara. (Park Sandara.) She used to be an actress in the Phillipines, but moved back to Korea, and worked very hard to become a member of this group.

This beautiful woman is Park Bom....Yes her name is Bom. She had been singing with the members of BIGBANG before she became a member of the group 2NE1. She's known as the "Pretty" one.

Last but not least is Minzy. (Gong Minzy) She was noticed as a dancer, but has also excelled in singing. Known as the "ugly" one of the group...(MEANIES!) She's highly talented, and I think she's very pretty! (So there!)

Today's featured artist! BIGBANG!!!!!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen! This is BIGBANG!

This group of diverse yet amazing young men, is one of my most favorite groups of all time!

I spent some time doing solo features on each individual from the group, but the way they started out, is just how you see them now. This is how I fell in love with them.

The first song of theirs I had ever heard was a song called "Haru Haru" which means day by day. The song is epic, and sad. "Day by day, I become more dull." is part of the chorus of the song.

After that I went all over youtube, watching their vidoes, and I loved all of them!

All of them have their strengths and weaknesses, but what they have in common is dedication. YG brought these guys together, and he did a great job in choosing the guys for the group! All of their passion for what they do is evident in everything they have accomplished. Watching them perform their songs on stage is every bit as entertaining and satisfying as watching their music videos. They're a real treat!

I strongly suggest to anyone out there to check these guys out!

From their outrageous fashion choices, hair included (LOL), to the songs they put together they are completely entertaining!

OMG! It's craziness!

I'm at my folk's house, reminiscing about old times, watching The Sandlot, having so much fun!
My feelings I've been having, about all that pent up creative energy, I've decided that it's telling me to get back into writing songs...so I'm working on it.
It's so much fun to let my creative juices flow in this particular manner, once again! I'm feeling happier these days!

I'm feeling the excessive need to be creative! It's been hard figuring out how to deal with this feeling...this need....but I will find a way to get it out.
I feel like a volcano, seriously about to just blow up!
I don't know wether I should like...start writing poems?

Start dancing all over the place?
WHAT?!!!!!!
I want to do something.
Something meaningful.
It's in there, running around in my body. Skipping around through my chest, and twirling around in my mind.
My eyes don't see well anymore because the are crowded with visions of far prettier things. Things that are better than reality.
Anyway. I'm sure something will come out of this soon.

Wow! What a day!

I went to work
I opened the registers in my department
I was called by my manager (who then told me I would be working in a different department)
I went to the other department
I had no idea how to help my customers
I was called by my manager (who then told me I would be covering a lunch in yet another department)
Took my break
Took my lunch
Covered the other, other departments lunch break.
Went back to the department I was sent to originally.
Tried to help my customers, though I had no knowledge of that area!

Here's the crazy part. I had a challenge when a gay woman (of the more masculine persuasion) came in needing something to wear for a wedding. Her wife's...son's wedding. LOL! Needless to say....things were a bit difficult. However! I'm so awesome...I got her to buy a very nice sequin top with a flowy long shrug to go over it. I also managed to get her/he a few other tops to go with the black slacks she already had.
She was so pessimistic when she came in, but I used my "Spidey senses" and flew around the store suggesting practically everything. Trial and error for like an hour!
When she left, she was not as pessimistic, and I felt strangely satisfied with my success!  I think I was happy to help her, because as uncomfortable as she was, she wasn't unpleasant to help. She was just out of her element, and probably feeling very insecure.

Coming home was great! I was so tired I almost fell asleep a few times while driving! LOL!

An explaination for all my featured artists!

So....
As I have posted these artists I realized I didn't really explain enough, so now I will ad a bit so that my lovely two followers, and anyone who visits and is not familiar with K-pop will understand.
I am a big time fan of a K-pop group called  BIGBANG.
This group includes 5 guys.
1.) G-DRAGON (Kwon Ji Yong.) the leader of the group.
2.) T.O.P (Choi Seung Hyun.)
3.) Seungri (Lee Seung Hyun.)
4.) Taeyang (Dong Young Bae.)
5.) Daesung (Kang Dae Sung.)

All 5 of them have now been featured here, with the reasons behind my fandom. (I have also included pictures of them.) As Solo artists they have impressed me, though I have been a fan of theirs since probably their second album. The first song I remember seeing a video for on youtube is "Haru Haru" (which means day by day). I fell in love with them all after seeing this video. When I saw "Haru Haru" I went through youtube looking for any other videos they would have out. It was over from there. I love this group! BIGBANG does some great work together, and each guy does amazing, silly, and enticing work as individuals as well.
I just wanted to share them as individuals, before I do an artist feature with the guys as a group.

Today's featured artist! Daesung!

This guy here, is Daesung. (Kang, Daesung)

He's the last of the BIGBANG artists I've featured. All the guys I've done "Today's featured" so far are actually all part of a group called BIGBANG, but each of them has been successful as solo artists. So, sorry if there was any confusion. LOL! They're all amazing solo, but put them together and you have something else entirely. I LOVE IT!!!!!

Anyway, Daesung, the "smiling prince" as he has been called is a very talented singer. His nickname "smiling prince" is quite fitting. He's always smiling.

He's a Singer, dancer, and a wonderful personality!

I love Daesung because.....

1.) He's super funny!

2.) His singing voice is warm, and brings a wonderful element to the music surrounding it.

3.) He's been said to be "ugly" or variations of that word, but I think he's anything but. He's kind of a cinderella story. He worked hard to prove that looks don't matter (even though he's not ugly), and that charisma and talent are really what matter. Which brings me to...

4.) He stayed true to himself in the face of his strict family, and a slightly prejudice father. (who did not want to see his son "singing and dancing around like a girl", but wanted him to do manly work, like business.) He stuck to his guns, and has accomplished so much.

I mean....think about this for a moment....really!

He had people saying "You aren't good looking." and he had his father saying. "What you want to do is not manly enough, I don't want you to do it. You'll be girly if you do that."

How much passion and dedication did that have to take, to fight for fame, when everyone was telling him not to do it?! Yikes!

I admire him for his bravery, and dedication.

I'm a fan of his for sure.

You're beautiful Daesung.

You're talented!

This week so far.....

Having to deal with, having my department moved to the other side of the floor, and having to share the space with more associates than is necessary....has definitely been a challenge.
Talking about it with others has been amusing, to say the least.
A funny vision was put in my head during one of these conversations. "Come to work in character" was said, to make things seem funnier. (Thanks for that comment BTW it's been amazing to play with in my mind.) I will have to draw out some of the things I've been imagining. LOL! As I have quite the imagination, it's been hilarious.
I'll tell ya this. A samurai has made an appearance, and so has a cowgirl, and a ninja. LOL!
I'm sure I could even think of more, and they'd be funny....but these have been enough for now.
Well I guess I will work on cartooning those visions...hopefully they will end up being funny!

Today's featured artist! Taeyang!

This is Taeyang! Real name is Dong, Young Bae.

This little hottie is being added to my favies because he's amazing!

He is living proof that sometimes the best things come in small packages! (LOL)

He's an actor, singer, DANCER, and model.

I love Taeyang because of the following reasons.

1.)Taeyang is an incredible dancer. His moves are clean and precise.

2.) He is not a rapper at all, he SINGS! When he started he was in a lower register, but he has worked on that and is able to hit a higher register now.

3.) He's a dog lover, like G-dragon...points points points!

4.) His innocence is charming. (His very first kiss ever, was recorded in a solo music video. How cuuuuuuute!) It has been said that he's so focused on work that he doesn't even date! (Dunno how much of that is true, but from the interviews I've seen it would seem like sound information.) All of this comes as a shock to most, since out of all the guys in BIGBANG he's almost always the only one who will show off his bod! LOL!

5.) Though he's small, he's a powerhouse performance-wise. He's a lot of fun to watch, and that ladies and gentlemen is what being a star is all about!

6.) He's pretty! (in his own way. Just like the others)

I've been working the past couple of days, and after today I will have three whole days off! Woo Hoo!
I'm gonna be posting a lot I think.....so look forward to it!

Lady Gaga's concert...HBO special.

I felt that the concert was mostly, just.....off.
I enjoyed the costumes and the drama of it, but there was something about the flow of the actual concert itself that lacked.
Don't get me wrong. I love Lady Gaga, and I do believe she is a great singer and performer. I think it was just how much she stopped the concert to talk, and to say.....the same things over and over again.
If it weren't for that...I feel the concert would have been much better.
The last few performances were the best.
I loved the Alejandro performance (though not my favorite song)
I loved Poker face, Papparazzi, and Bad Romance.
Almost everything before these four songs just seemed.....awkward.
Again these are my opinions on this particular concert. I have no idea what she has done in previous concerts.
Well done on the last four numbers though Gaga! I loved them.

Today so far....

Has been a laaaaaaazy day! Ha ha ha ha ha!
I've been playing happy pets on facebook all morning so far.
How wonderful a game Happy Pets is! LOL! I love all my puppy dogs on there. I have so many chihuahuas!
Ok...so other than that I've been watching HGTV all morning as well. Funny how watching interior design shows can help you arrange the interior of your happy pet's rooms and yards! HA HA HA HA HA!
I'm not saying mine are like...amazing or anything...just fun.

I'm watching some dance battles on youtube right now. I love watching people dance. It's so much fun....and it makes me want to dance too....but then again watching someone who can dance is much more fun than messing up trying to dance on your own. LOL.
If I knew how to dance I'd probably do it more often.
I could start to try learning.
If I would just do it.

Today's Featured Artist! Seungri! (V.I.)

This is Seungri. (aka V.I. *victory*.....I have no idea why they decided to nickname him this. LOL!)

Seungri is a singer, an actor, a dancer (a really good dancer), and a model.

I've had ups and downs with wether or not I like Seungri, but I decided ultimately that I do like him. As far as looks go, in my opinion, he looks very generic or plain. I have certainly come to love his songs, especially since he's done a new album of solo songs. Here are some reasons Seungri is worth getting into.

1.) Ok, so he's not bad looking! He's a handsom guy, but I think a lot of his attractiveness comes from his personality. Which is actually pretty dead-pan. Which leads me to....

2.) His sense of humor is almost non existant. Which in itself can be funny! It's not that he is humorless, it's just that his humor tends to fall flat, and some people just don't get it.

3.) He's an awesome dancer! He's a lot of fun to watch.

4.) When he does show it off, he has an incredible bod! (ladies beware.)

5.) He has a very good singing voice. (He will rap on occasion, which is ok.) His voice is well trained, and though it can tend to be weak for performances, he sings well. Smooth and passionate.

6.) I have yet to experience Seungri the actor, but I'm thinking he must be a good actor. He's a very confident person when taking on a challenge, so I could see him doing well as an actor.

 That's really all I seem to have for now. Through all my ups and downs with liking and then not liking Seungri, I'm glad I can finally say, he's pretty cool. As an artist he pleases the eyes and ears! What else does he need to do?

This week so far....

There have definitely been some good and....frustrating moments.
I'm not a "boss" at work. So I don't like to dictate to fellow associates. I'm not there to tell them how to do their jobs, however I am there to do the job as the managers tell me to do it.
So I really don't feel it's fair, or right in any way, for a fellow associate to dictate to me.
If there's a mess when I get there, I don't worry about who made the mess! I'm there, it's work, and so I clean it up! Wow! Imagine that! Big deal right?!
Wrong.
If I'm the one that makes the mess, I get yelled at or snapped at to clean it up.
(This is all one person mind you.)
I can't tell you how many times....countless times.....I have come in and cleaned up counters, and fitting rooms, and racks of clothes. BY MYSELF! While "the other" just stood at the counter getting all of the sales.
Oh, and we are pretty much graded on how good of an associate we are, by how much in sales we make. (I was the lowest scoring associate for a solid year.)
Until recently.
OH! HEAVEN FORBID! I actually do what I am supposed to do. HELPING THE CUSTOMERS AND SELLING!!!! Instead of being the department slave!
Heaven forbid, you actually have to do most of the cleaning for a few days! Oh my Dear Lord in Heaven!
Just hate me!
You are not my boss, you do not sign my paychecks, so you pretty much have no right to tell me what to do. Stop acting like you do! Not only that, but there's so much wrong with what you do on a daily basis, that you really have no room to talk!
Look, no one is perfect. No one is going to be able to do it all. You can't! I can't! So can you just do what you can and live with it, and quit acting like I am solely responsible for your misery?
I don't like working with people who are just gonna snap at me and make me feel like shit all day. I never did that to you. I EXPECT you to not do that to me.

Of course this isn't the only thing I've faced, but it seems like this is how all of my days end...so it's the last thing I leave work feeling like.
Sorry for my pretty huge rant!

Today's featured artist! G-Dragon!

 This is G-Dragon!

His real name is Kwon, Ji Yong.

(My little nickname for him is "Mosquito" Ji Yong. I called him this at first just because of the higher pitch in his voice, compared to T.O.P. I don't mean anything offensive by calling him a mosquito. It's a joke. I love G-Dragon's voice. It's got a smoky yet smooth, and soothing edge to it. The flow, in which he uses his voice is captivating.)

G-Dragon is a Rapper, a singer, dancer, and a model.

The following list, are the reasons I like G-Dragon!

1.) *In my opinion* He's a good looking guy. I think he's got a beautiful face.

2.) He's a very talented musician. His music is dynamic, and he gets quite creative with his songs.

3.) He isn't afraid to take his style (fashion) to the limit. He will wear just about anything and that is part of how he is entertaining.

4.) He's a dog lover! (always scores points with me.)

5.) He's never boring.

G-Dragon has some awesome singles out now. "Obsession" is amazing. "Heartbreaker", and "Butterfly" are also awesome!

So I find it quite hilarious that I can help one person at work one day, and the next day they come back, and they will totally not recognize me from the previous day! Granted some days I dress better than others, and some days I wear more makeup also. Other than that...I do NOT do anything dramatically different.
I feel like Clark Kent when he becomes Super Man.
I mean, REALLY?! All it takes is some glasses and a business suit, and I'm completely hidden? LOL.
I guess that just goes to show how unobservant most people are.

This is T.O.P.

He is a; Rapper, Beatboxer, Dancer(kinda :p), actor, and lately Singer.

He's also done some modeling.

His real name is Choi, Seung Hyun.

Now the reason I wanted to highlight T.O.P as my very first artist to discuss, is because he is just simply amazing. With that deep raspy voice of his, and yeah (I'm going to be honest) he looks like a bad guy in a movie, doesn't he?! LOL! (One of the reasons, I suspect, he was cast as the crazy killer in Iris. *ahem* getting off track.) He is a very talented, and in my opinion, good looking guy. I just realized I tend to chatter too much....Lemme try the list thing.

1.) His rapping is gritty sounding, but the lyrics are moving, and sometimes even funny.

2.) Though he looks like a bad guy, he's really down to earth, and quite the jokester!

3.) He is an awesome actor! From his acting in the music videos, to daytime dramas, to the big screen he does a stellar job!

4.) When he does sing, it takes you off guard. His singing voice, though raspy like when he raps, is very controlled and penetrating. (see youtube for a song called Oh Mom.) His live performances are just as good, if not better than the recorded singles.

I'm thinking.....

.....that I might need to explain my name choice. Well the Korean person that I used to be...(silly grin)... in a past life...yearned for a Korean name. I chose "Hyun Ae" is a compilation of "wise", "clever", and "Loving". Which is, the kind of person I strive to be. So there's that part of it.  The "blind girl" part of it has nothing to do with me being blind. I'm not blind in a literal sense. There are a few things that you can say I am "blind" to...so I guess in an abstract way it works out! The reason I decided to put up "blind girl" is; My name. My real first name. "Sheila" apparently has a few meanings. The two of which I found online. In latin it meant "blind", and in Irish it meant "girl" or "young woman". Which is odd in a way, since my mom and I both remember it meaning "beloved" some years ago.  Anyway.
So there you have it!

My new fav's 1!

So lately I'm into a few songs! I'm listening to a few more american made songs (LOL!) lately. I'm really liking  FAR EAST MOVEMENT! (Yeah I know! Biiiiig switch up! *lots of sarcasm*) But their songs are in english. Love them! I also really like "Bedrock" by Young Money. (It's hilarious! And the beat is just nice!) Also Loving "E.T." by Katy perry featuring Kanye west. (Also because it's kinda funny, with a great beat.) Love Eminem and Dr. Dre's  new song! OMG so much good stuff right?!
Well if that isn't enough I am also really looking forward to the releases of Will I Am's colaborations with K-pop girl group 2NE1. *Squeals in excitement and does a happy dance!!!*
Also I'm really loving the heck out of SeungRi's new album! ''VVIP" is awesome!
I can't leave this fav's segment without also commenting on GD and TOP's album. "high high", "Oh Mom", and "of all days" are my three absolute favs from their album.

The names are not finalized, so I'm not going to post any of their rough draft names. This is the Water Element Dragon inhabited prince. He is second born.

Ok so....

I've been working on a few things recently. Just some personal interest kinda things. I guess it's mostly just one project really....Umm....well I will be posting some sketches of character's I've come up with for a story I've started. Character sketches I did recently. I'm pretty proud of the results, seeing as how I've been ignoring my drawing practices for a while now. As soon as I have all of the pictures saved on my laptop I'll post them and each will have a little description so you're not too lost! LOL! You'll probably still be lost.
Essentially the story is about a girl who's destiny is to marry one of four prince's, each has the spirit of an elemental dragon in his body. The prince she chooses is the one who will inherit the throne.
That's just a very condensed nutshell of the story.
